NSCAATV Releases 2014 NSCAA College Soccer Special Broadcast Schedule

Continental Tire Returns as Official Sponsor of NSCAATV Broadcasts
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (July 22, 2014) – Perennial men’s college soccer powers UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, Akron, North Carolina, Connecticut, Tulsa, West Virginia, and Penn State, as well as women’s college soccer stalwarts Florida State, Boston College, Texas Tech, Connecticut, and West Virginia highlight another exciting schedule of games on NSCAATV beginning in August.
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) continues its role in promoting and broadcasting college soccer in 2014. With the creation of NSCAATV.com, the “NSCAA College Soccer Special presented by Continental Tire” will return for its second season. The package will include up to 20 NCAA Division I college soccer games and numerous NCAA Division II, Division III, and NAIA games.
This year’s preliminary schedule includes 15 games and features five Top 25 men’s teams from last year’s final NSCAA/Continental Tire rankings (#8 UCLA, #9 Connecticut, #16 Penn State, #17 Akron, #20 UC Santa Barbara – along with William & Mary, George Mason, North Carolina and Tulsa that received votes). The schedule also includes four Top 25 women’s teams, including NCAA College Cup finalist Florida State, #12 West Virginia, #17 Texas Tech, and #19 Boston College.
The NSCAA College Soccer Special will also showcase the inaugural game for the Division I men’s Utah Valley team against Massachusetts, as well as William & Mary, High Point, UNC Asheville, Bucknell, CSU Bakersfield, San Jose State, and George Mason, along with women’s teams from Illinois State, William & Mary, and Richmond. NSCAATV will also visit Athens, Ohio, to broadcast a women’s soccer rivalry between Ohio University and Miami University (Ohio). That game will allow many of the Ohio University journalism students who participated in the NSCAA-Ohio U European World Cup Experience this summer to gain valuable on-air and production experience.
In early August, NSCAA, NSCAATV, and Continental Tire will bring you six different NSCAA College Soccer Preview Shows with preseason rankings (Division I men, Division I women, Division II men and women, Division III men and women, NJCAA men and women and NAIA men and women) from the Continental Tire studios located in Chapel Hill, N.C. During the season, NSCAATV will do a weekly NSCAA/Continental Tire College Soccer Review Show from the road.
“We created NSCAATV a year ago with a focus on being an attractive and entertaining outlet for college soccer fans and coaches to watch live games from all over the country,” NSCAA CEO Joe Cummings said. “Last year, we broadcast more than 40 college soccer games, as well as 20 College Soccer Specials. This fall, we will do more than 80 broadcasts covering all levels of soccer, from the college, high school and youth game. Additionally, we continue to provide coverage of the professional game, by hosting live stream broadcasts of NWSL and USL Pro games.

Dean Linke will return for his seventh season as the play-by-play voice of the NSCAA College Soccer Special presented by Continental Tire. He will again be joined in the booth for the majority of the men’s Division I games by former Georgetown head coach Keith Tabatznik. Sari Rose and Allie Dosmann will handle several of the women’s Division I games as analysts. This year’s games will be produced by Kyle Lang (Triangle Video Productions), George and Brian Krieger (Apparent Gravity Media) and Chase Neidig (Tourbeau Sports Group).

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America debuted NSCAATV.com in July 2013, thrusting the Association into the evolving world of television and digital technology. The online channel started with original programming, live streams, and other content promoting the beautiful game.
Since its launch a year ago, NSCAATV has become a resource for soccer aficionados, hosting live broadcasts of games at every level. NSCAATV also became the host to highlight USL PRO and select NWSL games for the 2014 season.
